Mussels in Brussels…and other things to do in Belgium

Hey Guys! Long time, no blog. I guess it’s time to make up for the last month that this page has been neglected. Well, here goes nothing….

On St. Patrick’s Day, four of us took the Eurorail (the train that goes under the English Channel)  to Brussels in Belgium. You’re probably like, “What is there to do in Brussels?” My answer: besides eating, not a whole lot. I really wanted mussels in Brussels…mostly because it rhymes and sounds like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. So, first thing we did when we got there was go eat lunch. After that we went exploring and found a cool out door market and some of the prettiest architecture I have ever seen! Then we decided to stop by a chocolate shop to test out some world famous belgium chocolate and it was awesome. I got some for my mom, dad and sister, so don’t worry guys you’ll get to test it out too! Then we walked around for a bit more and found the famous fountain of the little boy peeing. He was even dressed up festively for the occasion. Then we had a Belgian waffle for dinner. Did I mention we ate a lot? We totally did, but I mean, you’re only in Belgium on St. Patrick’s  Day for seven hours once right?

Cheers!
